HOUSING
by Ornella, Universita degli Studi di Trieste, Trieste, Italy
Humanities, Independent
Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? because it is the best way to get in contact with other cultures and to learn the real language
Personal comments:
I have been following a Semester at this University as I aws working there as aupair. This means that I have been following German courses held for foreigners. I was very satisfided with it. In Salzburg I was awarded withe a certificate for German "Mittelstufe3". I didn-t ask the university to look for an accomodation for me. HOUSING
by Michelle, Chapman University, Orange, United States
European Studies, Independent
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? As an international student it's best to live with a lot of other students for social reasons. The housing I had was one of the farthest from the city center, but the city is not that large to begin with.
Personal comments:
It was very clean and of the highest quality. It was also very affordable compared to what I pay at home. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The flat I lived in was far from University.
Personal comments:
Although I did not live in the University housing, I had many friends who did, and the vast majority of Halls of Residence were of a very good quality-price ratio. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? I lived off campus with other American students. Living arrangments were fine, but I didn't go to Austria to hang out with a bunch of Americans, which is pretty much what I did. Living on campus would provide more opportunity to meet local students and learn the language.
