History, 2023
Overall
My university's  greatest grant to me is in the opportunity of its location( versus my place of origin ). A continent before my feet, for me to tread as I dare. (In fear of you misunderstanding this statement as a melodramatic divulgence of my otherwise burgeoning, now unencumbered yearning to do the Good and the Great , I shall qualify the sentence above as follows:  I like to go for very long walks... and the scenery here is satisfactorily novel.)

You may think this too  an observation to present , but were I to attempt to express otherwise, it would result in mybsprouting into sanctamonious sermon on the state of tutorship in higher education, before  I work myself into a proclamation ("Calamity hath befallen us!", or something to similar effect). Then, dismissing what ever (woefully) small shreds of propriety, yet to take their leave, I would leap forth, rhetoric bitter and bitting, arduously weilding assumption (tempered too long, I fear, in contempt and whetwith a bourock of ungracious, even provocative generalisations ) upon things I might declare as, "questionable tertiary institutional practices, plenary contradictions in-" blah blah blah, etcetera-and-other-stuffses. Thus ceding to futher ravings then blubbering then warbling, then weeping. I would rather much prefer to do otherwise.

I shall to admit you these things though. The university you read of is very possibly, if not probably, a perfectly lovely and wonderful place for you to go do all your learning stuffses. It could very well  even be an Institution of  Reckoning, dealing you value as you hoped it worth receiving.

I am but a simple manchild, that sought to frolick as  he pleases through many a-Europey (europesque?) place. If anything, I'd suggest you consider my tepid dismissals as gleaming commendation.

For remember, I am but a manchild,
And thus, these words, should eyes tread best lightly.

The university is good at academic success especially in research area.I think it would be nice if the university would become more international. This is clear because foreign students can not attend any of the events such as conferences, workshops, career fairs because of the language constraints.

well it's a small place but don't worry you can find nice places to go out. news cafe is an elegant place to sit and drink your beer. three sisters is biggest place, but generally age average is a bit lower than expected. "place" is the only place you have to pay for enterance but it's free at every thursdays, student night. monday is sally obreins' day, you can find all exhanges upstairs. but after couple of weeks you may get bored as its cheap beer sucks. tuesday is the rest day, however, if you want to go out you can listen live regi music while drinking your beer. on wednesday, Pand48 is the place for international students. During happy hour, beer is 1Eu. Pand48 is a small but such a nice place to spend your wed. night. Shadrak is an another place you can visit on wed. Latin is dominating sound. on thursday, like saturday, city center is full of dutchs. Exchanges prefer MollyMalones due to cheap drinks but enzo is the best place to go. Friday is also a resting day, but if you fell like going out city is crowded enough. Saturday is main dutch day. Everywhere is dutch, try to interact with them. On sonday, city is dead.

No, my University provided lots of information and I was able to meet with students who had lived in Groningen the year before.

Groningen is an excellent choice for your ERASMUS year. It is a beautiful city that is small enough to get to know it really well but large enough to have plently of life and culture. The university itself has a good reputation and courses and wide ranging and enjoyable. One thing I would strongly advise is to seek accomadation in a student house rather than a private flat, as this was probably the best part of my year away and makes meeting people very easy and non-stressful.

Be careful not to get ripped off by local bike shops who make a killing out of exploiting foreign students. A second hand bike should cost no more than 50 euros. Student rail cards can be bought at the station if you take your student card and a photo, which gets you a big discount if you want to go to Amsterdam, The Hague or wherever takes your fancy for the weekend.
