Personal recommendation:
It was not my first experience abroad, but it was really amazing. In the beginning, it is not really easy to adapt to the life in Rouen which is a little bit unusual for people coming from cities with millions of habitants, but you get very quick integrated through parties and different associations in the campus life. And what is concerned about the academic life, well, sometimes there should be some improvements to make, but personally I have gained a lot of experience, some subjects were really new for me, and writing dossiers of around 40 pages in a foreign language was a really exciting and important challenge especially for my future business life. FINAL COMMENTS
I haven´t really talked in the previous sections about some travel opportunities but Rouen has plenty of them. It is situated only 100 km far away from Paris but the Normandy region has some beuatiful places to offer. First of all, you should plan to visit the famous Mont St.Michel Abbey ( the excursion will be organised by the ESC Rouen), moreover the North coast of Normandy with its beautiful cliffs and rocks ( cities: Etretat, Fecamp and Dieppe) is so lovely, and for fans of art and culture I can really recommend to visit the Museum of Claude Monnet and his garden in Giverny only 55 km far away from Rouen. Go to Rouen. If you're going on exchange as an undergraduate student, you'll probably have a final year of difficult work ahead of you back home when you finish abroad. So why not effectively take a year away from study. Learn a language, do the minimal amount of work necessary and still pass. Enjoy life with many foreigners- learn about different cultures and pull a few birds- it's a handy number, honestly. And if you live to party, even better. You can take the most ridiculous courses that your host institution will validate. What more can you ask for? FINAL COMMENTS
Buy a 12-25 train card. Integrate with the locals. Get out as often as possible. Travel. Slag off the Canadians for being American. Say hello to the barmen in O'Kallaghan's for me. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

It's a good place to go, but it wasn't that good academically. I learned much more out of the classroom. FINAL COMMENTS
Bring as much as you can from home, but remember to leave some room - you'll be bringing more back. See tips on phone and travel above. It rains literally every day. Bring an umbrella. On the other hand, it doesn't get cold in the winter, usually +5, +10 degrees C. If you get homesick, know that you're not alone and it WILL pass. And don't sit alone in your room. Get out and talk to people, especially the French and other exchange students. Above all, be open-minded and prepared that things work differently than at home! Then everything will work out and you'll have a great exchange experience! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

It's a great way to take a vacation from your home university. If you want to travel and meet lots of great people come to Rouen. FINAL COMMENTS
Rouen has a perfect location for travel. It's 1 hour away from paris and you can get tons of cheap flights from there. Check www.ryanair.com for deals. Get a 12-25 card to save 50% on train travel thorughout France. I had an amazing time in Rouen. I can't belive it's actually over. I learned so much about myself and about the world during my exchange. Most of my learning happened outside of the class room. If you're looking for an eye opening experience then come to Rouen and get a little taste of what France has to offer. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

If you're going, then the best time to go is the fall term (sept-dec). That's when you'll meet the most people, go to loads of parties especially in september, and you'll have a great time. The second term is shorter with less courses to choose and not so many parties, and the third term is really geared towards work. Plus, most of the exchange students leave and there's little to do. FINAL COMMENTS
Travel as much as you can as you may never have the opportunity to do so again. Use the low-cost airlines and the cheap train fares. I had a great time, and made loads of friends that I wouldn't have had the opportunity to meet otherwise. My advice is get out there and make the effort to speak French and get to know the french students. Staying within the exchange student group can be dull as you'll be speaking English all the time. It is an excellent university, especially regarding its international programs. If your French is not that good, be careful with taking the highest level of Finance or Accounting courses because it is a great challenge to familiarize with the vocabulary. FINAL COMMENTS
To study abroad has been among the most exciting and valuable experiences of my life. Rouen and France offer a great variety of cultural opportunities and a great location for living and travelling.
