Why? I learned a lot of Spanish living with the family and had a great experience, but wanted more independence my last months in Spain.

Syracuse offers great host families and wonderful accomodations. They faculty is felxible and places you well.

No, it wasn't.
Personal comments:
The amount of spanish I spoke depended on how much effort I put into it. I learned a lot, but many students did not. They simply surrounded themselves with Americans the entire time.
