It was not legal for me to work Personal spending habits:
I was going out more and traveling a lot more than I do in the States, but I did not have to pay for my housing, and I saved a lot of money not tipping in Germany. It really makes a difference. Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Telephone: was the same price as at home. Food, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
The exchange rate also played a factor in spending more money. The dollar was and still is low when compared to the Euro. Tip: manage your money well by budgeting yourself each week. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

In german the students receive many helps from the goverments, and it is really cheap to study in german. For example the travelling cost inside the region are included in the university cost 100 €/semester. Accomodation is also very cheap, about 200€/month. Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Food, Nightlife, Overall: was the same price as at home. Travel, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
