Personal spending habits:
Food and going out is considerably more expensive in Denmark than in New Orleans, thus although I ate out more and went more to bars and clubs In Ner Orleans, I ended up spending less. Housing on the other hand was more expensive than at home, this was due tot he fact that in Denmark I lived in a dorm , while in New Orleans I rented a whole house with just one person to share it with. Obviously I did more travelling when on exchange, thus spent more money on it.
Travel, Overall, Housing: was more expensive than at home.
Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Food, Nightlife: was less expensive than at home.

Personal spending habits:
Cooking french food is much more expensive than cooking american food. Though, I prefer french food. I had only 12 hours class a week in the USA, compared to 24 in Paris. That is the reason why I could go out a lot more in New Orleans.

well at home the parents feed me, and pays for pretty much all my expenses. And since everything is open 24/7 in New Orleans, well you can figure out why I spent more on nightlife ;)
Travel, Overall, Telephone: was the same price as at home.
Food, Nightlife, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
since its either hot as hell or chilly in New Orleans, prepare to spend alot on electricity, for climatization and heating.
