Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
If you have the money and the time, it is well worth visiting Madrid for a night out, as it has a variety of clubs and bars. Alcalá has a surprising number of rock-orientated bars (no clubs), for example Paranoid or the Panadería, as well as more commercially-orientated places such as Gabanna or Can-Can. It is a surprisingly active place for such a small town, when it comes to night-life. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Many people actually went into Madrid if they wanted a proper night out. In Alcala, however, there were lots of small bars everywhere and one or two clubs. The "zone" was always busy on the week-end, and there was a club called Can-Can which held a special night on Thursdays for Erasmus students. The best cafe has got to be the "Renacimiento" cafe which had the best milkshakes. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Either stay in Alcalá for the Erasmus Parties (almost every night, in bubs like Irish Pub, la Vaca Flaca, Cambrinus,... or in night clubs where you could dance) Or you can go in Madrid where the night Life is awesome (in Jazz Bars, Nightclubs and pubs) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

The bars there were awesome. It was such a neat experience to go to the bars with the locals and get to know some of them. Two of our favorite bars were Can-Can and Los Gatos. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

It's difficult to choose just one favorite night spot in Madrid! If you're in the mood to chat with tourists and a variety of "madrilenos," any place around Plaza del Sol would be perfect. When you're in the mood to hang out with 100% Spanish college students, the best spots are the cafe's and bars around the soccer stadium, Santiago Bernabeu.
