HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why? I loved my family. They treated me like their own daughter. I keep in contact with them through letters and hope to visit again someday.
Personal comments:
The accommodations were excellent. My family was very kind and the living area was immaculate. My host mom took special care to prepare my meals and do my laundry. She made my stay in Spain a very positive one. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
In Cadiz, the best night life is the Plaza Mina and then the Punta, which is a line of discos that fill up on Friday night. My favorite plaza was the Plaza de flores where churros were sold at 7:00AM on Sunday. It was custom to stay out until this time, then buy churros for your family to eat for Sunday breakfast. The rest of Sunday was spent sleeping. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
The program was designed specifically for American students studing in Cadiz. We were required to take the classes offered and did not have much of a choice. The teachers were very kind and helpful.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
I would like more interactions with Spanish students. It would have made sense for us to be involved in some regular university classes as well as our "special classes". This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Because there were a lot of Americans in our group, we tended to speak English amoung ourselves and it was hard to reach out to Spaniards in order to speak the local language. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
Family Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
For an American living in Cadiz, a good life was relativly inexpensive. I spent more on telephone and travel because I wanted to see Europe and made calls home to friends and family. Travel, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Overall: was the same price as at home. Food, Nightlife, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
I found it to be very inezpensive for clothes, nightlife, travel, but much more expensive for the phone, internet, and utilities. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
That the first night there would be the hardest night in my life up to that point. In my opinion:
I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The nightlife is awesome, the people are friendly, it is inexpensive, and the weather is perfect like a paradise. However, it is a small city and can become cumbersome at times. Also it is hard to travel to and from Cadiz. FINAL COMMENTS
Rent a car. Don't be afraid to drive in Spain and it is so much nicer to take a car with a few friends than to figure out bus schedules. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
