Stay at Quo Qadiz for a while and get a different perspective in life. Enjoy a vegetarian and cheap dinner there and go steal oranges from the trees in the Plaza with the owner to make breakfast jam! it was great!

I had just spent 4 months in Portugal so althought originally my Spanish was much better I spent the 1st week trying to speak Potuguese! A week of flat hunting soon sorted that out and from then on I got back on track. Teachers are really friendly and try to mix speaking spanish and any other language they know to help you out.

I had to do all the work myself and accomodation is generally very good. Cadiz is also a very cheap part of Spain to stay in so it was a pleasant surprise.

it seems that gaditanos enjoy nothing more than takinga carryout to the nearest plaza and just having a drink in the streets with their mates. Carnaval is not to be missed in March and certainly when you first arrive you HAVE TO stay at the hostal Quo Qadiz!
