Lisbon probably has the best nightlife in southern Europe! So enjoy! Also renting a car is quite cheap, and it takes only 2 hours by car to go to the Algarve! Visit all the miradouros in Lisbon, it will leave you in awe... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I should have tried to get an appartment before arriving. Internet access in the house would have also been a good idea as the facilities at uni were a joke. In my opinion:

If you want to learn a lot go somewhere else. If you want to have fun go to Lisbon. FINAL COMMENTS
Leave your wallet and credit card at home when you go out at night and just take 10-20€. Many people got robbed (with knives) and some had to take money from the ATM. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

There is an overall problem with drugs in Portugal (more than 7000 junkies). It is not really dangerous but it is a hard experience to see the dammages caused by them and to live it day-to-day. Some places of Lisbon are better not to live in because of that. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Take 3 courses and go to all the practical classes. Try to study 2 weeks in advance f the exams and you will get very good grades in the end. FINAL COMMENTS
I would recommend to live in Bairro, to be in the middle of the city and to experience the old neighbourhoods. It's great to go on the organized trips throughout Portual, Porto and Coimbra is especially fun as these two cities are student towns. Personal recommendation:
Don´t expect too much from the courses (although I heard that business classes are quiet good at the University Nova and there are the better equipped Biblioteca Nacional and Gulbenkian-Foundation). People, life and culture are really interesting and not to be missed! FINAL COMMENTS
If you want to get to know to a very special country which lives to some extension in the past and which has to struggle with the modern times, theres´s no better way to experience it. Travelling in Portugal (there are good and cheap possibilities by bus or train) is really a adventure. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

For me Lisboa was the best place to do an exchange semester. Lisboa offers a lot of things to do and Portugal is a country where you can travel around easily. Don't forget a sleeping bag. It's useful for travelling and Lisboa's flats are quiet cold during nights sometimes until march. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Lisbon is great, If you travel around go to the Alentejo, there are beautiful empty beaches and it is not so touristic as the Algarve. An Example is Zambojeira do Mar. If you go out in Bairro Alto you will find lots of Erasmus students in front of Mescal in Rua de Diaro Noticias. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Location of Lisbon is excellent to travel! You can visit of course whole portugal, but also south of Spain, north of Spain, Madrid, Marocco (great country!),... Lisbon isn't always so safe (more or less normal, because it's a big city), but if you just take care a bit, then it will be ok! Just enjoy it!
