All over Coimbra there are bars who receive statal subsidies so that everybody can have fun there (Dom Dinis, Buraco Negro, O.A.F, and of course the bar of the Associacao), a cold beer costs about 0,-60 € anywhere you go, there is plenty going on

Final comments
Coimbra is one of the most traditional student cities in Europe dating back to the year 1290, the academical traditions are still today part of the student life, it is a pity we don't have it in Germany
