Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community

Bairo Alto is not to be missed. One of the oldest neighborhoods in Lisbon and full of great bars, restaurants and nightclubs. In the Santa Apalonia district which is the eastern part of the city there are all kinds of nightclubs popping up. One must take a day trip to Sintra which is like fairy tale land and out to Guincho for a full view of the ocean. The state of the Alentejo is a must see.. Evora is beautiful, the beaches are breathtaking and pristine, and the cuisine is out of this world. Also, anyone and everyone must go once to Belem for the Pasteis de Belem. The best places to go out at night are in Bairro Alto, but also in Alfama you can find little "Tascas" where local people sing "Fados", the traditional music from Portugal. The village you can't miss is Sintra, near Lisbon, with the most incredible palace I've ever seen and a castle with very nice views. In Lisbon everything is beautiful, but if you don't know all the "Miradouros" you can't say you know the city. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Bairro Lato neighboorhood is definetely the place to be. Docas is ok, but hardly any POrtuguese would go there. Festa de S Antao in June is a must. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
