Weekly student meeting in the Cardillac (Via degli Alfani) - ask for the AEGEE guys Mario (always has tickests for the coolest clubs), Luigi, Alessio, Roberto (born organisers). Don't miss: Full up, the Latin American disco "Jaraguar", The Central Park, concerts in Santo Spirito, for chocolate Lovers: Hemingway (even have chocolate spoons!!), also don't miss the different "sagre"!! Avoid cafès , bars etc. in the center/near Ponte Vecchio - they are tourist traps!

Personal comments:
"Andromeda" is a night club where foreigns don't pay to get in. The place isn't to good but it's the one stys open till late!!Is in the center near to Piazza la Signoria and Il Duomo. There's another cafe bar very nice to eat or have a drink called "La Torre" placed in the other side of the river Arno, just in front of the Ufizzi Gallery. To have a coffe, a very cool place is Astor placed in one side of Il Duomo going to Piaza San Marco.

Night spots, winter = Maracana on via Faenza, summer = Central park. Mexican food = Ebys Bar in Santa Croche Pizza = Pizzeria Nerone in via Faenza. General hanging = Wine Bar on via Faenza, great salads and sandwiches, and good atmosphere...and amazing wine!

I loved the departament of classical filology of the University of Florence, but also the city overall, the live I did there. It was really complete, there was place for every thing (I also worked as a private teacher of spanish).

Florence is beautiful, restaurant Za Za is really nice. Montecarla is where we would go to have drinks. The city is beautiful at night, people gather in the piazza and talk drink its a big social scene.

Florence is a city to be seen, o be walked, to be admired... every corner has some magic, every cafe, every square, every street... really one of the most amazing cities i've ever seen.

JJ's, Dolce Zucchero, Salamanca, Astor....pretty much everyplace is amazing and fun. There are so many students from all over the world and that makes it even more fun and exciting.

Clubs: Yab, Dolce Zucchero for the Student life, plenty of excellent cafes & bars but I've forgotten their names. You can't really go wrong though!

fFlorence is a good place from which you can visit the whole of Tuscany cheaply. best bar is xo- beats all other happy hours

XO-bar at Via Verdi: nice and cheap discobar but closed during the summer SpaceElectronic (discoteca) near the station (SMN): students and tourists, great music! Andromeda (discoteca) near Piazza della Signoria: acceptable if you like la musica latino-americana...

Best cafe definitely "Moyo" in the city center, with free wireless internet! For aperitivo Sottosopra.
