Why? The experience is very positive. Not only you get involved within the local culture, but also your language level (in my case italian) benefits so much.
Personal comments:
The university offered some help in trying to find a place in one of the few residences in Florence. Fortunately I found my own and I didn't use its help.

oNE OF THE MAIN POINTS IN deciding to go to Italy was learning Italian. I would never hank enopugh my flat mates and teachers who really help me to learn italian.
