I wish my Italian was as good now as it was when I came back. I learned so much, and I was always on buses, journeying to other nearby towns in order to envelope myself in the language and culture...ot was absolutely the best way to learn Italian.

Before I didn't understand a word italian. The first three weeks I followed a language course and there I got to learn the basis. When the exams started I also got to learn 'economic' italian. After I returnd I think I can say that I improved a lot! Now I plan to improve my italian further, after all it's one of the most beautiful languages in the world, isn't it?!

I spent a number of years as a child in Italy, Italian is very close to a mother tongue for me. I speak Roman dialect. No-one ever knows I'm American until I tell them.
