HOUSING
by Allison, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia
International Relations, University Agreement
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Living independently, away from other English speaking students, forced me to engage my neighbours in Italian and increased my potential for learning.
Personal comments:
From what I have seen, the university housing is akin to that offerred by other universities. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
by Johan, Åbo Akademi, Turku, Finland
Informatics, Erasmus
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Nightlife: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Well no "real" nighlife exists in Trento, except on special occasions. "Clubs" are outside of town (20-50km) But best cafes those dominated by students close to faculty of sociology This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Since i could only participate in one semester (My University ruling) the exams were not held in time for me to complete all exams before leaving to return to home university for 2nd semester thereby losing points despite doing the work.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Improve information on location of lectures and access to tutors. Ensure all exams are accessible to students. There was a choice of doing one or other exam which meant one could not sit both. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Italian
Was learning Italian a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Italian How much did you improve your Italian?
My level before: Did not speak it My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
Since I didnt speak a word of Italian when I got here the first few weeks were a bit frustrating and quite many do not speak any english. But with improving language skills life became more easy and more fun here. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal recommendation:
University is a very freindly place and an international student never feels out of place. FINAL COMMENTS
A culturally diverse place with students swarming the city. Great night life where curtural and social exchange at its best. University is also great with great facilities and faculty. The social amenities and recreational facilities are great. Rock climbers haven with Arco and other places close by. Skiers, cyclist, surfers etc have a great opprotunity to enrich and explore. At the edge of the Dolomites, presents with breathtaking views.Food and ice creams also at the very best.to travel cheap, the is this students travel organisation which takes 10 euros for membership and organises very cheap trips to amazing places like Egypt,Bali or even Mexico. An unbelieveable experience !!!!!!!!!!
