Learn from the good and the bad
anonymous
France, Graduate
Marketing and Sales Management, 2020
Overall
The University offers wide range of knowledge regarding business management. There are may courses which are very practical, many lecturers are business people, they had deep experience and they gave many interesting real case studies from that I can learn a lot. However, there are a few disadvantages in the program management. The time table was not fix, it changes quite often which cause confusion to students. Moreover, there are a few subjects which are brand new to me but the teacher went quite fast but it trained me to be flexible and adapt with the situation, which is a good things.

One thing I have to say is that internet access is REAAAAAALLY bad. Internet cafes are mad expensive. Just make sure when you arrive that you either find a computer room that is usually open and free! or that you get an authorisation if you are an IPLV student (Institut de Langues Vivantes) to have the keys of a computer room. If you plan to travel around buy the 12-25 train card to get between 25 and 50 percent off train tickets. Ah! I forgot to mention: if the place where you are staying does not have a washing machine/dryer be ready to pay around 6€ in the "laverie"! That is all I can think of...

It rains a lot in Angers. Bring an umbrella. It gets cold despite how you hear it's warm in Angers.

It's a good program if you want to learn or improve your French. I am only speaking from my perspective as a student at the CIDEF (Centre International d'Etudes Francaises) , which is a special department/school of the UCO for foreign students to come to France to learn and take courses in French. The courses range from History, Literature, Business, Translations, Phonetics, Current Socio-Economical Issues, DELF, DALF, Theology, Oral Expression, Written Expression, Oral Comprehension, and even a course on French Slang.
