Description:
Although it was created in 1970 on the Saint Martin d'Hères campus the Université Stendhal has more distant roots. Founded in 1339, the University of Grenoble was set up primarily in the Tour de l'Isle. Today Université Stendhal enjoys the status of Scientific, Cultural and Professional Public Institution.

Why? no complaints about it.
Personal comments:
The student accomodation i lived in was private - so of a much higher standard than the university flats. It was fully equiped - didn't even have to buy cutlery. I met loads of french people because i was living in student accomodation and because i was the only foreign student living there. very sociable

Course recommendations:
best way to meet french students is through sports clubs not through courses. getting a part-time job is a good idea too. you hardly have any lectures

because i travelled around alot and went skiing all the time - lots of good deals

set up a bank account with nationwide in the uk before you leave - they don't charge you when you take money out abroad
