Food is much better here and unfortunately also more expensive. Housing on the campus is very cheap, travelling for students is also cheap.

Personal comments
For me, language was definitely the point of going, and I felt the program was well designed to accomodate students at all levels, from beginner to advanced. The assessment at the beginning was good, and I appreciated very much that they allowed me to attempt the most advanced level. At the beginning they had a few misgivings, but in the end I managed extremely well and truly am grateful for the chance to push myself (and not have been bored in a lower level).

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why?
I had such a great time with my host family, that I've actually asked to stay with them for the second semester. They offer so much love and excitement. Plus, you're really forced to speak french all of the time and be apart of the culture.

Personal comments
Staying with a host family has been a great experience and I would suggest anyone studying abroad to do the same. It's the best opportunity to get involved, learn about the culture, and improve speaking capabilities.

Professors' lectures (cours magistral) as the predominant way of teaching is not always the best option
