Why?
When abroad it is very important to spend as much time as possible with people local to the area. There is no point in being surrounded by other foreigners. Living with local people is the best way to begin to understand about a place.

I wish I had known...
I wish I had had more information on my course beforehand. It did not turn out to be what I had understood it to be. With more information on courses I could have got more out of studying abroad.

I loved it but I'm not sure everybody would.
Important factors in my choice

Personal recommendation
It is academically sound but unlike some of the campus universities (i.e. Bologna)it can be very disorientating and I wouldn't reccomend it to someone who speaks only a little of the language.

A cost-saving tip is to stick with the Italians. They know instinctively where one gets ripped off and they are only to happy to point out the traps that await foreigners.
