The best views of Siena are on top of the Museo Dell'Opera Metropolitana and the Fortezza. The best time to go to Siena is during the summer. The Palio - the horse race/festival Siena is known for is a must see. The Sienese get all worked up and party all through the summer representing their contradas (neighborhoods) by wearing flags. Go to Il Campo at night - have dinner, or sit around and share some wine with friends. Don't drink? Have some gelato or a granita from Gelateria Caribia.

Okay...here we go. Monday is dead-time to relax...you'll need it :-) tuesday: erasmus party at cavaliere followed by "black night" at Barone Rosso. Wednesday: Sob's (my favourite) Thursday: Sob's di nuovo Friday: Erasmus party at San Jose Saturday: Anywhere you'd like Sunday: Barone Rosso

For dance club enthusiasts, Florence is your best bet, but there is always Tendenza's. Thursday nights are usually the best. Otherwise, there are the pubs. I like Bogart Internet Rock and the Tea Room (both alongside Piazza del Mercato). Irish Pub usually doesn't have a whole lot of locals. Red Baron and (Siena) Rock Cafe are usually crowded. Watch out for crazies though.

I love the Tea Room and Bar Porrione. The Tea Room is great for a mellow night and Bar Porrione is the best place for cheap vino at night. Tutto Pizza and Pizzaland have the best pizza al taglio in the city.

Loads of good restaurents and cafes but better away from the tourist areas as cheaper. One good young bar is Subs but not much ctands out
