don't forget they speak catalan most of the times and altough you can write your exams and papers in spanish, most of the times they accept exams in portuguese, italian and french.

Try, no matter how hard it must look, to get along with local students. they seem pretty closed but that's because they think erasmus students don't even make the effort to know them. They are really nice people!

Final comments
There's a lot of places to visit in Catalunya. I was very disappointed with the Dali museum, but it's a must, even if it's to complain! Most of the people will be happy to help you as long as you ask them.

They all speak and understand spanish, but the first option is always catalan. Nevertheless, say you're erasmus, they'll switch back to spanish
