HOUSING

Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? because it is close to everything important: to lecture buildings, to library, to work
Personal comments:
it was good, four people in a flat, there were all basic things we need to live. it was warm and cosy. the living room was quite big, although the single rooms were small but still I was very happy to have my own room. there were lots of trees and bushes sourrounding the house which was very nice. STUDENT LIFE

Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The UCD student pub was always a good place to meet other students if you didn't want to go too far from home. In the city centre, I particularly liked the Red Box for a fun night. Bewley's on Grafton St. was always great for coffee and a sandwich. Also, one must see a rugby match while you're there! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
I had a lot of classes cancelled or change time without notice.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
If you have a Laptop I would bring it because there is wireless interet access throughout the campus and the computer lab is terrible. You have to wait up to 30 mins to get a computer and try at least 4 untill you get one that works. Plus they are using really old software. Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
Since English is my native tongue, it was a pretty easy adjustment for me. The Irish brogue was somewhat confusing at times, but it made the experience even better. I worked in a pub for a few months, and I occassionally confused orders because of the differences in language. I enjoyed my experiences very much. Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:

I worked during my study abroad experience Personal spending habits:
I never missed a single chance to go out or to travel. Plus I had a part-time job (this is not easy to find back home)so I could actually spend a little bit more...I had more spare time, less to study as an Erasmus as well!!! Life is a little bit more expensive ...glaring exception, obviously, bier!!! Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall: was more expensive than at home. Housing: was the same price as at home. Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Yes, it's very easy to open a bank account even for a short term and as a student you have good choices. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I was more informed about the programme of my studies and that I should have been more sure about what I want to do there. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The University is very nice, the atmosphere is very good and the lectures are interesting. There are lots of facilities on campus like huge sports center, pubs, library, book shops, restaurant. The student life is very lively and lots of interesting things are happening all the time. FINAL COMMENTS
It is the best to take a car there as I did because the petrol is the cheapest and a car give a possibility to visit all places to whcih the access is difficult. Irish people are very nice but the weather is depressing and tirying. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
