Easily done. My slight British accent received constant good humoured 'dissing' but try to tone it down.. then they'll start understanding you. :P (no generally I didn't have any problems)(people do make an effort to understand you)

I had some small difficulties at the beginning in following the classes as well as in interacting with people, especially as far as slang was concerned. It turned out pretty well though. By the end I found myself much more confident in any situations.
