GO!! there's no better place for such an experience.. if you want a prty university go to UCSB but in a general view UCSC is totally all right for an international student. Read Review

Why? Campus accomodation is getting more and more expensive year by year. We are talking about $800/month !

It is great, located in the forest, up the hill - 10 minutes from the beach. Spacious, but is getting more and more expensive year by year. We are talking about $800/month !

Why? because for a long term stay grants a larger independence and freedom to move but as an exchange student all the on campus accomodation are pretty good
