HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Campus environment is great and a good way to make friends both short term and long term.
Personal comments:
Accommodation is varied, but the towers have a community feel and a party atmosphere. Everyone is really good friends and supportive of each other and have good fun. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Activities, Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Students Union Bar on campus and Sub Zero club on campus for good value and a great night. Level Two for brilliant live bands nights. Take 3 do great sandwiches and coffee for when you're on the go and the Blues Bar with salad bar is great for meeting friends during the day. Mondo's do good pizza, and they deliver. Look out for themed nights and big name music acts in Sub Zero. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
Use the website to get a broader picture and more detailed information. The course directory has detailed module information and links to other useful resources, such as previous reading lists (which are generally very similar each year). You can get a really good idea of what to expect from your course and modules by doing this research, which helps you to make decisions and avoid the hassle of changing courses or modules once you've started.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Sometimes the communication between lecturers and administrators within departments seems slightly lacking, causing confusion over classrooms, lecture times and assignments. Use your inititative and always check and double-check info from all sources. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. Personal comments:
Language was not a problem for me as I went to an ENglish speaking country. They were great communicators, both in the university and as a nation. Very helpful and friendly. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
Government assistance A private grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Didn't use the phone very much, because of time differences. Didn't go out much at night. Local travel was cheaper than at home. Food, Housing: was the same price as at home. Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Fresh fruit and vegetables are pretty expensive out of season. Buy locally produced goods, go to markets, check out the free local papers for classifieds and for free local events. Check out the local area when deciding where to go - this could make a difference as to how much you spend on local transport between your university and accommodation and the city centre. OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
How much I would miss the country I was visiting, when I came home again! In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
The university has a really good vibe and the teaching is outstanding. Very friendly people (students and teachers and locals), great surrounding area. FINAL COMMENTS
Research! This is a skill you will have developed during your studies - use it! Use it to decide where to go and use it to avoid any surprises once you get to your destination, so you'll know what to expect when you get there and from your overall experience. The internet is the ideal resource for this. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
