HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? It was a great way to meet people and convenient to get to class, safe and friendly and not too far from town
Personal comments:
I thought living in the towers was great fun, I met 15 people in my first day there. The room was big enough and cheaper than private housing and the internet connection was great to have. My flatmates and I cooked for each other and made trips to the supermarket together so it was like living with a family away from home. I loved being able to get up 10 minutes before class and still make it there on time! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
The venues on campus were great, especially the dress up nights in the night club on campus and the alternative music nights in Level 2. I went out in town a few times and the bars there were great, there were more places than I had time to visit. The coctail bars in town were particularly good. Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I had realised how easy it is to travel from Colchester to Europe and I would have saved more money for trips abroad! In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I would definitely go, the campus is beautiful and people are really friendly. The academic life is challenging and very rewarding, I like how teachers at Essex want you to question everything and it has helped me in my studies since. FINAL COMMENTS
