Description:
The University is located on a riverside campus at the heart of the 600 acre National Technological Park at Plassey, three miles above the ancient city of Limerick. Over 6000 full-time and 3000 part-time students are enrolled at the University. Over seventy different organisations are located on the Park and interact in a variety of ways with the teaching, research and cultural activities of the University. The development of the University has been financed by both the World Bank and the European Investment Bank, and is supported by The University of Limerick Foundation.

If you have a cell phone you are going to spend more money there because its very expensive to make even a local phone call. Texting is also about 20 cents per text, and everyone does it all the time! Traveling was cheaper there than here, but I did more of it there obviously, so I spent more on it. It costs more for a beer there and we tended to go out more there. Also you have to pay for a cab every night which isn't cheap. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Travel, Housing: was the same price as at home.

The food was pretty expensive, so it was hard not to spend alot on that. I travelled quite extensivelly which is different than at home. Food, Travel, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Nightlife, Housing: was the same price as at home.

What I learned was to follow how much the dollar was compared to the Euro, and would take out money when the exchange rate seemed to be doing well. Because Ireland is very expensive, actually one of the most expensive countries within the Euro zone. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone, Housing: was more expensive than at home.

The food is much more expensive, mainly vegetables and fruit, and nite clubs are quite expensive there, even if you don't normally drink alcohol. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Travel, Housing: was the same price as at home.

sometimes the prices of on campus and off campus student accommodation may surprise you,they have hidden charges.prefer to stay in private houses with local people which may cost you from 150-250 euro per month and make a budget of 100-150 euro per month for food.
