HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because it's easy to get to know people if you share a house or an apartment.
Personal comments:
I rented a room from a landlord who had houses right next to campus. It was an old house, but the facilities were alright. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Student life dominates the city
Activities, Nightlife: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
There are a lot of smaller bars and night-clubs in Cedar Falls. I liked Coconuts, Jokers and Sharky's in particular. Apart from that there are a lot of house parties going on every weekend so nobody will be bored in Cedar Falls :) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
I had Dr. Davilla, Dr. Beall and Dr. Morgan-Witte. They are all good and friendly teachers. If you choose a course with Dr. Beall please be aware that she'll give you a LOT of homework.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Less multiple choice test and more essays. Better coordination between classes, so that exams don't collide with each other. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I had known beforehand how great it would be to study at university of northern iowa - cuz then I'd have made sure to apply for more grants so that I could stay!! In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
It is a nice University with a great student life. The level of teaching could be higher, but go anyway for the fun of it! FINAL COMMENTS
I flew in to Chicago and drove the last 5 hrs in a car rented from Avis. It's cheaper than the coach if you are two or more people to share the bill. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
