no; uwa has an almost perfect preparation package which is sent to you prior to leaving

an absolute awesome campus! it's the best. palm trees, cocadoos, ducks, etc. everything is there. go and have a look! it's striking!

when planning your travels, keep an eye on the season/weather. going up north is better during winter, while south is better in summer, etc. lonely planet gives good recommendations.

enjoy the awsome green campus! do some sports, they offer a lot!!

go to the ningaloo reef in the north and do a diving course at "mindarie dive" in joondalup, perth. it´s the cheapest you will find in perth! perth is great!!!

It is useful to arrive two or three weeks before the semester starts to ease accomodation search. Travelling during the semester is only possible during the Easter break.



FINAL COMMENTS

Perth is a good base for travelling and a really nice place to live and study. You should not miss out the South-West and the North-West.

It's a real beautiful campus where you can sit down and relax at the library cafe with a nice scenary.

Join some clubs and all the activities offered by the uni, starting with the orientation week.

Great university, great city. Take some time afterwards for travelling around, especially Western Australia, much less touristy than the East.
