I allready had a good command of English before I came to London. But after I lived there and I allso had a partime job in a restaurant, and went to the university I just learned more slang and expressions.

In the future I would demand my landlord to make an inventory list. Because we had some problems with getting are deposit back.

Final comments
Make sure you have enough financial funds if you go to London, because it is very expensive. But it was a wonerful experience to me.

I worked during my study abroad experience
Personal spending habits
At home I lived with my parents, so I had no housing and food expenses. In my home country we have a free student travel card all over The Netherlands. In The UK you just get discount on your travel expenses.

London is overall a very expensive city, I was informed about this. I would advice to consider housesharing. I allso had a partime job, for me that was perfect because I earned money, met new people, improved my English and I know how it is to wrk in London.

Nottinghill market, the parks my favourite was Hyde Park. Covent Garden for shopping. Favourite nightspotts: Nottinghill artsclub, Chinawhite, The Cross.
