Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I'd choose the same because I think that living in an apartment is more comfortable. The only problem is that if you find the accomodation through university once you keep it you can't go back, because you have to pay much money in advance. I liked the life in the university house but I would have probably moved out with other friends.
Personal comments:
Coventry university gives you two possibilities: the campus and the flats. The first one has the nice advantage of being very central, nextdoor to university, and it is also a nice place, I would say that the majority of the people living there I knew were very happy of the climate of "Priory Hall". But on the other hand the flat gives you other kinds of advantages: you have a kitchen, and more space. The flat were I lived was also in a nice area of the town, which is in my opinion a detail to consider. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I'm happy with the housing and the landlord was nice too, so I would not change housing type.
Personal comments:
No experience, except by visiting other students. I only visited "Singer Hall" of the university accommodation and it seemed nice, everyone had their own room and it was quite clean and nice looking. I heard that the membership for the excellent new university sports centre was included in the rent in most cases. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Getting in contact with other students proved to be a lot easier for the students living on campus, students with private housing had a harder time fitting in.
Personal comments:
The neighbourhood was not the safest and the house was very dirty but the overall experience was pretty good. The price/quality rating was good, especially considering I am a student I should not complain. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Type of housing: Apartment/House

If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Campus was a bit restless. I wanted to study and I heard for some other students that it was quite impossible to study in hall of residences.
Personal comments:
University provided a list of all the available houses, which was a great service because otherwise it would have been difficult to find a place other than a room in hall of residence. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Why? Higher standard for less money
Personal comments:
Living in student accommodation gave me an opportunity to meet students with different cultural backgrounds. Although the price of accommodation was rather high, and some facilities had a poor standard, overall I have enjoyed my stay in university halls of residence. Why? Because you live with many other students from all nationalities and it is a very enriching experience. It is the best way to meet people.
Personal comments:
They send you information about all the choices of accomodation and help you with the applications. The Halls of Residence I stayed at was Priory Hall and in my opinion it is the best option because you are on campus, you can walk to class, and in addition, you are in the city centre, at walking distance from shops, bars, discos, etc. It is a little bit expensive, but it is worth.
