HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? because it is near the university and I would have to go there everyday...
Personal comments:
For Erasmus students it is very easy to look for a house there. The host university makes everything for you and tells you all steps you have to follow once you are there. Moreover I think that the cost was pretty good, I have paid less than €200 for a furnished room with shared bath and kitchen (with 2 persons more) This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

ACADEMIC
My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
as a foreign student it helps us very much going to talk to the teachers at the beginning of the courses, in order that they explain with detail all the requirements of the course (level, exams, houseworks...)

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.) My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
At the beginning it is very difficult to start to talk to other people and it is easier for everyone to talk in English, as everybody can talk in this language. But little by little you become more confident and you understand that it is normal to make mistakes in a language that yo don´t know well (German in my case). Sometimes by making these mistakes is when you learn more... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
My local university didn´t give me much information about the host university. I had to look for a lot by myself or with help from the Uni of göttingen. It would have helped to have here more information in my language and, for example, experiences from other students that had been in there before me. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
I think this is a good University to make a course abroad. There are a lot of foreign students and because of this, the people of the university know what are the problems we have when we arrive there and they try to help you as much as they can. Moreover, the university is one of the most important things in Göttingen. So a lot of things are adapted to students´needs (it is not very expensive, there is a lot of nightlife, the university has very good facilities...) FINAL COMMENTS
If you are thinking about making an Erasmus course, you shouldn´t think about this anymore..Do it! and you will see that this is one of the best experiences you would ever have... This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
