I think Heriot-Watt University is one of the top universities in the world and the experience of living the atmosphere of a British university was excellent.

They are academicly sufficent and have good ties with industry. They also have a very good reputation with industry in Norway.

I had a great time in Scotland. All you have to do, is go out there and you'll land on your feet. Scottish people are very nice and helpful, the area is beautiful and it was great to experience a semester at a Scottish university.

It's a good university in a great city.

Travelling it's easy by public transport or renting a car. There are low cost buses and low cost car rentals. For accommodation while travelling across the country it's a good idea to check out the numerous youth hostels. For accommodation on campus it's necessary to aply asap. To look for rooms or shared flats in the city it's handful the web page www.gumtree.com.uk

how difficult is to find a flat in the city center. and how many facilities the university gives you to life on campus.

this is a wounderfull place to go!! I strongly recommend it



FINAL COMMENTS

Renting a car on enterprise is the best way to visit the highland. Go to isle of sky wounderfull landscapes. Very very cheap fly tickets to visit london or amsterdam, it really worth it.

Go there - it's a great uni, the teachers are very nice and you get to know lots of local students

for travelling to the UK from Austria it's best to go with ryanair and easyjet remember that accommodation is very expensive ere

You can expect to get into a lot of bureaucratic hassle, but apart from that it's a nice university with a friendly atmosphere. Edinburgh is a fantastic city!

Travel around Scotland, especially the Highlands, and you'll see some of the most beautiful places in the world! Getting elsewhere in Europe is pretty cheap and easy too.

I wish I could have stayed on the campus. Rooms were reserved for full year students. I wish I didn't have to take class for non-advanced students in English.

The Scots are extremely friendly, go out as much as possible to improve your spoken English. On Ricarton Campus, there are a lot of Sports activities which are quite cheap. Impressive sports infrastructure.
