Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my German How much did you improve your German?
My level before: At ease in most situations My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
This is the most dissapointing area of the whole exchange expreiece. I believed that I will develop my language skills, however, I do not have many opportunities to speak German. There are too many people of my naionality living in my halls of residence and far too many natives. It is difficult to meet Germans and make friends with them while being an international student surrounded by people from my country and othe rinternational students who always prefer to speak English due to their poor knowledge of German language. Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I worked during my study abroad experience Personal spending habits:
Because in Spain most things are cheaper than in Germany, although our salaries are lower too, so it's normal. Food, Nightlife, Overall, Telephone: was more expensive than at home. Travel: was the same price as at home. Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
No. There are some street markets, where you can find very good deals. There are as well very low-prices supermarkets, like Ldle, Plus, etc. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal recommendation:
German is difficult, so I suggest that students be prepared. FINAL COMMENTS
Munich is in the center of Europe, so it is necessary to take advantage of international travel opportunities while here. The cultural offering are wide and varied and make an excellent ballance to academics. All in all, a rich and interesting city.
