Personal assessment
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? Ease of access to where lectures are, and the best place to meet the most people, both home and international students.
Personal comments:
Very cheap in comparisonn with Warwick University and of a very high standard, in terms of facilities, comfort and cleanliness. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: German
Was learning German a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't. How much did you improve your German?
My level before: My level after: Personal comments:
If you were willing to make the effort and separate yourself from your own countrymen, could speak the local language all day, ensuring huge improvements. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Personal savings Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
I don't live in a campus but with my parents, so usually I don't spend for the accomodation. Telephone and nightlife are cheaper there, then in my home country. Housing: was more expensive than at home. Food, Travel, Overall: was the same price as at home. Nightlife, Telephone: was less expensive than at home.

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I think being totally clueless when I arrived added to the experience. In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Most people when they decide to go to Germany want to go to Heidelberg or Tuebingen. Bamberg is a much better choice. There are fewer Americans - so you have to meet people from other places. Also, the office of foreign students is very active and takes the foreign students on great trips (skiing, Lake Constance, etc.). The German instruction is fantastic, and the city is truly one of the most beautiful in Germany. I recommend Bamberg with absolutely no reservations! FINAL COMMENTS
