Svenska Handelshögskolan, Helsinki, Arkadiagatan 22 - P.O. Box 479, 00101 Helsinki, Finland
Description:
Swedish is one of the two official languages of Finland since Finland was part of Sweden for more than six centuries until 1809. As early as 1909 the Swedish-speaking business community founded their own college of business. In the 1920's it became an institution of university standing, the present Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration. The Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration is situated in Helsinki. In order to meet the need for university-level education in Swedish in the fields of economics and business administration in Swedish-speaking Ostrobothnia on the west-coast of Finland, a branch campus was set up in 1980 in the city of Vaasa.

EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Personal savings Other sources of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
price level in nordic countries is about 30 - 50 % higher than in Central or Western European countries Food, Nightlife: was more expensive than at home. Overall, Telephone, Housing: was the same price as at home. Travel: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
if you choose accomodation in the city center you don't need to buy a card for public transportation, everything is within walking distance and furthermore they don't check whether you have a ticket (=free riding is easy and common among exchange students), buy alcohol in Tallinn: tickets for the ship are cheaper on Wednesday + alcohol in Tallinn is 30-50% cheaper, with a valid studend ID you get 50% discount on tickets for the train, This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
