HOUSING
by Mounir, Haute Ecole EPHEC, Brussels, Belgium
Marketing and Sales Management, Erasmus
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? I had a great experience with my room mates whoe were from brazil, portugal and dominican republic and to be all together in an independent apartment is I think the most interesting experience
Personal comments:
Everything was perfect to me. How we were welcomed, how everything was well organized to guide us to choose our classes, access to every facilities local student enjoy, etc... There's a lot to tell! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

STUDENT LIFE
by Mounir, Haute Ecole EPHEC, Brussels, Belgium
Marketing and Sales Management, Erasmus
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Travel: Takes place mostly within the university/student environment Activities: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Pamplona is really a great place to go out. We went out every week, more than once a week while in brussels I never went out and still don't. Best cafés are : el Meson de la Navarreria, bar Los Portales, Otano, Garazi, El Portal, and many many more. The hottest day is the thursday, everyone at Los Portales, happy hours till 1pm, then arround 2pm, everyone swithes to El Marengo(nightclub), free entrance till 3pm, incredible place to meet and danc with people from spain and from the whole "erasmus and other programs students". Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Spanish
Was learning Spanish a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Spanish How much did you improve your Spanish?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
It is easier for me to understand peolple talking spanish, than to speak it myself, not that I can't but my selfconfidence needed a boost. In the biginning I found it very hard to speak spanish in public, I was afraid they would laugh about me. During my spanish course I got more confidence in myself speaking in public. I enjoyed talking with the spanish students and friends and my knowledge of spanish has definately been improved thanks to my time in Pamplona. EXPENSES
by Mounir, Haute Ecole EPHEC, Brussels, Belgium
Marketing and Sales Management, Erasmus
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
Family Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options Personal spending habits:
Level of life in spain is lower than in Belgium for instance, but there was also the fact that Pamplona is a small city and where housing for exemple is much lower than in Barcelona where I had some Erasmus friends as well as in Valencia and Madrid. Telephone: was the same price as at home. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Overall, Housing: was less expensive than at home.
Personal comments:
Eroski, Lidl, and other cheap supermarkets, I lived with €350 per month, every cost included. I don't say it was easy, bue it is possible and I had as much fun as anyone with €700 per month. Money doesn't matter... University gives already some good advice to save money. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
I wish I had known how where the people's mentality In my opinion:
Most people loved it.
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
Before going to this university it is imortant to know a little about the story of the region, especially about the "basque" conflict FINAL COMMENTS
This year abroad was really reach in term of experience. By going one year like that , you learn how to become independent and how to adapt yourself in a different environment. It should be something that all the student could do. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
