Not very the university is private and more like a school with a blackboard and students being called up to do examples. good if you get friendly with the teachers and they don´t make you go up.Good location in the centre of town. Would rather have gone there than Alcalá outside. Also university is a small part of life out here!!



FINAL COMMENTS

Gat yourself a native girl/boyfriend it improves your language skills alot and gets you a solid group os native mates to party with who know all the places to go and can take you travelling!!!!!

Pontificia Comillas is a prestigious and famous school in Spain. Be sure to check out the recruitment forums if you are looking for an internship or a job. Try to socialize with locals and participate in sports arrangements and other arrangements.

To have fun in Spain it's very important to make un efort to integrate a spanish group of student to learn more and rapidly



FINAL COMMENTS

If you are going with erasmus you have to take care about the great danger to stay with only erasmus students. Even if it could be very funny it's not really profitable (to my mind)

do not underestimate the level of study although it seems quite easy in the beginning - the exams are usually a bit more difficult than expected.

I recommend day-trips to Segovia, Salamanca, Ávila, Toledo; weekend-trips to Granada, Sevilla, Valencia...

This is a great university where you will improve both your personal ability as well as your academic knowledge.

Try to arrive in madrid a couple of weeks before term starts, finding an apartement can be quite tricky. Try to travel as much as you can.

ICADE has a good reputation in the Spanish-speaking world (that must be around 1 billion people !), so it's great if you plan to work in one of these countries. But its rules are sligtly outdated, maybe because it's a Roman catholic institution. If you're a marxist, go somewhere else : the teaching has a strong right-wing political orientation.

I know there is a special attending for Erasmus-students. Try to get in the group as soon as possible.

Madrid is a great city, Spain a wunderful country. Don't miss its life, its food, its culture and try to get in contact with the people. In Madrid: Go to the Templo de Debod, the Atocha railway station and the Plaza de toros (bullfight ring)...

Flats without heating exist in Madrid (I didn't see that when I visited mine... I used small electrical heaters but it's been a problem)
