HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Because I had a very nice experience living with other students in the same appartment and I did the same when I returned back home.

Language difficulties
Language of instruction: Italian
Was learning Italian a key decision factor?
Yes, I wanted to improve my Italian How much did you improve your Italian?
My level before: Basic phrases My level after: At ease in most situations Personal comments:
In the begining, I couldn't communicate on the phone in order to find an accomodation..I had a language course before the beginning of the semester, so I learnt some phrases so as to communicate in the daily life but I still had problems understanding the professors. As time was passing, I learnt to communicate in italian pretty well and I also learnt local slang language. When I was about to leave, I had almost none problem communicating with the local people. EXPENSES
The accessibility of student needs
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant Other sources of funding:
Personal savings Work opportunities:
I didn't want/need to work Personal spending habits:
Almost all the trips and the nightlife clubbing were organized by the ESN Roma, so as an erasmus student I was paying less than the ordinary. Housing: was more expensive than at home. Overall: was the same price as at home. Food, Travel, Nightlife, Telephone: was less expensive than at home.

OVERALL
Important to choosing this university...
I wish I had known...
Maybe the fact that it is quite difficult to find a room in good condition combined with a logical price to rent In my opinion:
Everybody loved it, you will too!
During my experience abroad, I ...
Personal recommendation:
It is one of the biggest campus universities in Europe and sometimes it didn't prove to be very much organized. FINAL COMMENTS
Become an ESN member on your very first day, and you are guaranteed to be provided with any kind of help! You don't have to worry for anything. Rome is a very hospitable city and so are the guys of the ESN!!! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
