pick your courses carefully and know exactly how these will be examined



FINAL COMMENTS

Look around for cheap flights from ireland..difficult to find though. Best way to get there is fly Dublin-Dusseldorf with Aer Lingus and then get the ICE to Hannover. Works out around 180 euro.

I wish I had known how the academic assessment works in The University of Hanover, then some stress would have been averted.

I recommend that the university reach out more to its international students and guide them into the German way of academics.



FINAL COMMENTS

Do not shy away from Hanover just because it is on the outside an ugly and grey industrial city. If one looks hard enough one can find its green corners and its vibrant culture scene. It is also at the crossroads between Hamburg, Berlin and Frankfurt, so traveling is quite easy.

Take advantage of the personal, professional and academic opportunities available in Hannover. It's an excellent place to live, and the people are very friendly. The city is green and safe, and there are many places to ride a bicycle or go swimming, such as the many canals and rivers, as well as in the historic and beautiful Matschsee. There are saunas, great restaurants, festivals, sailing amd kayaking opportunities, concerts, and trains to nearby cities, like Hamburg, Berlin, and Bremen. The North Sea and Denmark are also not far off. Hannover offers awesome chances to make friends and network; it is a trade fair city, with expansive trade fair grounds and massive convention areas. Myriad side streets offer quaint and cozy cafes and bars with welcoming facades and comfy interiors. Hannover is a city for romance; there are vivacious and clever women as well as fit, handsome men, who radiate life and love. I absolutely loved my experience in Hannover, and so will you!

Its in the Lower Saxony state.The city is the cultural hub of Germany,and Europe in general.Its also called EXPO city.Hannover holds the worlds largest computer exbhition.

Just relax and calm down. All the paperwork is hard to do, but finally everything is ok

In the region you will have a lot of oportunities to make cheap travels. Try not to hang out always with spanish, that will help you improving your language skills.

Mix with your fellow students! Hanover's architecture faculty is located in a separate building from the other courses (some are just accross the street, though) so the architecture students are part of a very strong community. Just mingle. Go to the Tuesday Bar.

Buy a bicycle, it's the best way to get around. But you'll be able to use the tram/subway system for free with your student card
