Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why? The atmosphere was very warm and sociable on campus, so I'd choose to come back here.
Personal comments:
I was very lucky with my campus, passing the European Parliament on the bus everyday was great. Private apartments were the seemed to me the next best option.

Overall
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Nightlife, Travel: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment
Personal comments:
cafe atlantico for brazilian dancing or just a drink by the harbour (and all on a boat!) good restaurants and cafes all over the place. Salamandres for a dance around a fountain, cafe des anges for fabulous salsa dancing, and quai des beers for an all round jolly good bar.

Weekly discussion groups might be an idea - to get everyone involved and interacting, and would help with understanding and generation of ideas.

Yes, I wanted to improve my French
How much did you improve your French?
My level before: At ease in most situations
My level after: At ease in most situations
Personal comments:
My competency in the language improved drastically. At the start I simply didn't have the vocab that I needed. After the first couple of months however ease and fluency snowballed - and French people could stop speaking slowly and simply!
