My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
I took a number of courses and found the overall teaching quality varied enormously. By far and away the best teacher was the linguistics professor who brought an inspiring amount of enthusiasm, research and wit into his classes. I wanted to change my major!
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
There was a lot of confusion between the two universities I was attending. Neither academic from either university would agree with the other or provide an adequate support. I believe that at least one of these professors has been taken from his role as exchange support since I returned from Switzerland. My academic experiences
Course recommendations:
The course was quite a basic level and often taught in a patronising manner. It did however give a good grounding and there was a fun atmosphere/
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
A course at the School for Modern French will not enable you to meet Swiss students. Try getting involved in at least one other course in another department. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Course recommendations:
I was a French major enrolled in the Ecole de Francais Moderne (EFM) at UNIL. I truly was where I needed to be in order to learn all aspect of the French language: culture, phonetics, regional accents, food, music, literature...
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
The year after I left, the EFM changed to a semester/credit type of program, replacing the previous year-long courses program. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

Course recommendations:
Some subjects weren't offered over both semesters, but this was really only a problem because I arrived in the summer semester.
My opinion of the university assessment
Personal comments:
Not really. My course was somewhat unique so it is difficult to assess the whole university program. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself

I prefer the seminars. If you have to choose I will recommend a seminar instead of a course.
My opinion of the university assessment

More interaction with the local students. I don't if that is possible. This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
