Personal comments:
university is fine, teachers are good, but the school hasnt got alot of money, so the facilities, almost no computers, no airconditioning, anyway, not much for a school of architecture, and the spanish(catalan)students have to do quite alot at the same time, so if youre going to study here, and you dont speak the language yet, then dont choose to much at the same time...

Why? Its the best way! You can do whatever you want as long as the neighboors dont call the police!!

Finding a flat in Barcelona probably is the hardest and worst thing of all the exchange program... choose wisely and take your time... after that everything goes great

UPC just give me a internet page and piece of paper with a list of accommodation offices. Rest I had to fix on my own. But there are a lot of rooms, appartments and houses in and around Barcelona.

Why? It let you discover new people, because you have to share your flat with flatmates.

In barcelona, you dont have other choise than to share a flat with unknown people. That is one of the spice of the life in Barcelona.

Why? Because I had the best time ever. I had an appartment with two balconies.

The accomodation is Ok. The building was quite modern and well taken care of. The computer facilities could have been better though.

Why? I would still choose a shared flat, because it's fun, it completes the international student experience, and you possibly get to speak Spanish at home.
Personal comments:
I wouldn't recommend using the services of Habitatge Jove (even though universities recommend their services), but rather encourage people to try and find accomodation independently (boards at university), because the rooms Habitatge Jove gives away are rather expensive (poor relation between rent and quality/facilities).

Why? Because even if one can take benefit from living with people one doesn't know, I think it's better to make my own life, with people I will have chosen.

Finding a rent in Barcelona is pretty hard. Moreover when you ask for Internet in the bedroom. The people there is nice, but the flat was far from university and city center.

Why? for independance. It's exciting and interesting know, contact, etc. new people when you are looking for a flat. Oportunity tu share a period of your life with other people (in the flat)
