Description:
The University of Antwerp (UA) is unique in its form. It consists of three university institutions, of which UFSIA (Universitaire Faculteiten Sint-Ignatius te Antwerpen) is one. UA's uniqueness arises from the fact that two of its three 'arms' have an entirely different history and background: the Universitair Centrum Antwerpen (RUCA) is state owned, whereas UFSIA is a private university, founded by the Jesuit fathers. The third arm is the pluralistic Universitaire Instelling Antwerpen (UIA). Both UFSIA and RUCA were originally founded in 1852 and acquired university status in 1965.

It was interesting to learn the local language and the course was not very hard because it is very similar to German. But I wouldn't make the course if I had to decide again, because most of the people can speak English and Flemish isn't necessary. As a native English speaker the only problem I found was to be careful not too use slang too often and really slow down my speech pace. My Scottish accent caused the most problems! This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
