Type of housing: A room exchange
Arranged by: Host university

Why?
Personal comments:
Try to get a housing next to university, there are saunas. And there are mainly exchange students : the best way to do parties and to make friends. You can also get a really fast internet conexion for 25€ a year. This is great to stay in contact with your relatives. They also provide you all the necessary to cook.

Amarillo, Foxia, FortyFive Café. To go to these places, just take taxis with some friends, it would be only 1.5€ one way.

How much did you improve your local language?
My level before: Did not speak it
My level after: Everyday knowledge (shopping, directions, etc.)
Personal comments:
I was mostly speaking english because finnish is clearly difficult to learn. Local people are speaking english, so no problems to communicate. But if you could say something in finnish they will be happy.

Personal recommendation:
Well, the administration is really efficient, they provide you the access of the university, a housing, and a "Kummi" who will pick you up at the airport to your flat, and this kummi will help you during your stay... So really you just have to sign ,pack your stuff and the rest is waiting for you
