IM&S Spot Buyer (German-speaking) - Your future position?

In this role, you will drive the sourcing and fulfilment of indirect materials and services (IM&S) across the EMEA region, ensuring cost efficiency, service continuity, and alignment with key category strategies and business objectives. If you have experience with procurement and also project management, we are looking for you.
You will report to the IM&S Spot Buyer Manager, and you will work from Budapest.

Main Responsibilities
Sourcing & Procurement
* Analyze spend data, market trends, and benchmarks to support savings initiatives and sourcing decisions.
* Execute sourcing activities (RFI/RFQ/RFP/eAuctions) for CAPEX and OPEX in line with global and regional strategies.
* Lead supplier negotiations, commercial discussions, contract awards, and onboarding to secure optimal value and continuity of supply.
* Manage PRs and POs in SAP/ARIBA accurately while using tools such as Archlet to support sourcing activities.
* Deliver measurable cost savings and process efficiency through strategic sourcing and total-cost optimization.
Issue Resolution & Compliance
* Resolve supplier, invoice, payment, and material/vendor issues in coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
* Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurring issues.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Management & Continuous Improvement
* Build strong stakeholder relationships to align procurement activities with business needs and ensure clear discussion on sourcing progress and issue resolution.
* Improve process simplification, automation, data accuracy, and adoption of best practices across procurement operations.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to improve tools, workflows, reporting, and overall procurement efficiency.

Your profile:
* Bsc University Degree
* Fluency in English and German
* 1+ years of experience in Procurement and Project Management
* Strong project management attitude and knowledge
* Working knowledge of Excel and different procurement platforms
* Familiarity with tools for trend analysis and visualization
* Strong numerical skills, knowledge to improve data workflows and identify process-automation opportunities
* Ownership, customer focus, accountability, and hands-on execution
* Collaborative team player with a continuous-improvement mindset
