📄 JOB DESCRIPTION

* The Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations during their assigned shift, ensuring performance, productivity, and quality targets are met.
* This role manages a team of Team Leaders, driving operational excellence, team engagement, and continuous improvement across all processes.

🎯 TASKS

Operations Management
* Ensure the correct execution of all operational processes during the shift (inbound, outbound, picking, packing, etc.)
* Monitor KPIs (productivity, quality, service level, safety) and take corrective actions when needed
* Guarantee adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Team Leadership
* Manage, coach, and develop a team of Team Leaders
* Provide clear direction, priorities, and expectations at the beginning of each shift
* Conduct regular performance follow-ups and feedback sessions
* Support Team Leaders in managing their teams effectively

Planning & Coordination
* Align workforce planning with operational needs and volume forecasts
* Ensure proper resource allocation across different areas
* Coordinate with other departments (HR, Planning, Quality, Maintenance)

Continuous Improvement
* Identify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiency initiatives (LEAN mindset)
* Support implementation of new processes, tools, and best practices
Health & Safety
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
* Promote a safety-first culture and address any risks immediately

Reporting
* Provide shift reports including performance analysis, incidents, and action plans
* Escalate any operational risks or issues to management

👉 MUST HAVE skills

* Proven experience in a supervisory or similar role within logistics/operations
* Experience managing Team Leaders or middle management
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Analytical mindset with ability to manage KPIs and performance
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN is a plus)
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work shifts
