Are you creative, tech-savvy, and passionate about marketing technologies and website management? Do you want to gain experience in digital marketing and communications? Join us as our Science Communications Intern at Danone Nutricia Campus (DNC) in Utrecht, NL, starting as soon as possible!
As a Science Communications Intern, you'll work on digital activation projects with a primary focus on platform management, optimization, and communication, including e-mail newsletters. Secondarily you will also support social media strategy and content creation, helping to translate complex scientific information into engaging, accurate, and audience-focused communications. In this role, you will contribute to initiatives designed to educate and engage healthcare professionals (HCPs), supporting the delivery of scientific content across digital channels and helping to enhance the quality and impact of HCP learning experiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop both creative and technical skills in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
You will be responsible for:
Primary: Platform Support, Digital Channel Operations & IT Coordination
* Manage and publish content on our content hub using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), ensuring an optimal user experience and SEO performance.
* Support the creation and distribution of email campaigns and newsletters through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), helping deliver educational scientific content to healthcare professionals (HCPs).
* Ensure digital content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand and editorial standards.
* Coordinate with internal teams, agencies, and technical partners on content publishing, asset management, and platform-related requests.
* Support IT ticket management and help troubleshoot digital channel issues.
* Monitor newsletter and website performance, providing insights to optimize HCP engagement and content effectiveness.
Secondary: Social Media Content Creation
* Support the development of engaging social media content that promotes scientific communication and HCP education.
* Assist with content planning, scheduling, and publishing across key social platforms.
* Write clear, audience-focused copy and support campaign execution to drive awareness and engagement.
* Monitor social media interactions and assist with community management.
* Track social media performance and contribute to reporting and optimization efforts.
You are a Bachelor’s/Master’s student in (Digital) Marketing, Communication Science, or a similar field. As a Science Communications intern, you hold a creative mind and you are enthusiastic for the digital world. You can work autonomously and are eager to participate and own projects. On top of that? You’re a curious person with an eye for detail, who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with stakeholders.
* Enthusiastic about AI-driven marketing, marketing automation, social media and creating engaging digital content.
* Technologically adept with a keen interest in exploring and learning new (AI) tools
* Passionate about creating engaging content and designing visuals that tell compelling stories.
* Eager to learn about digital tools like AEM, SFMC and GA4, prior experience is a plus.
* Project management experience or relevant coursework is a plus.
* adaptability and comfortability within an international environment.
* Detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
* a familiarity with Wordpress, analytics and blog running is a plus.
You’ll also have the following background:
* Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
* Ideally available to start in mid-September for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
* You are fluent in English—oral and written; Spanish is considered a plus
