HOUSING
Personal assessment
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why? Appartments are perfect to meet other international students, the danes often tend to keep to themselves, so fellow erasmus students are the ones wholl end up being your mates.
Personal comments:
Overall great- good location- on the metroline at finsensvej 10mins into the centre, u can easily cycle it asell. Rooms have everything at your fingertips- kitchen, shower, internet and are a decent size- this could make the place feel a bit diconnected sometimes(ie.communal kitches give a community vibe) but it wasnt too big a deal. Plenty of shops on the street. we were lucky to hav basketball courts. good sized hall aswell for hangin out and messy parties. The only drawback was the strictness of the landlords- I think its a danish thing- they take personal offence to rowdiness or uncleanliness, although their tantrums were always quite amusing! STUDENT LIFE
Personal social experience
Describe host city: Students equally interact with the local and student community
Activities, Travel: Takes place mostly outside the university/student environment Nightlife: Takes place both within and outside of the university/student environment Personal comments:
Great sweaty student drinking nite in the Studenthouse on the main street- run by students(make sure u get your name down)in exchange for free drink. Fantastic. The hippy commune Christianias perect for a 'hazy day' while the bar Loppen in there has great live music. Stengade30 has live reggae on a sunday also great for a legally enjoyable hazy nite. Dont forget u can drink on the streets no problem so take advantages(Nyhaven or the parks are perfect in spring/summer) Vega/rust then are the huge clubs to go to at the weekend- dont bother with anything else This review is the opinion of an iAgora member, and not of iAgora itself
